The Direct File Uploader allows you to upload documents into the Docupace system. Similar to the standard document uploader, the barcoded items will route to their appropriate location, and the documents without barcodes (unindexed) will be placed in the Mailroom for future indexing and processing. This guide describes the process of uploading documents. To upload the documents into Docupace, perform the following steps:

Access the uploader using one of the following methods.

A. New>Upload File

Click New on the top-right corner of the screen and select Upload File from the dropdown options.

Tip

Tip: Use this method if your documents contain barcodes, Docupace recognizes and routes them to the workflow they belong to and places them into the appropriate work items. Otherwise, the documents without barcodes are categorized as “unindexed” documents and you can access them from Dashboard > Mailroom.

B. Add > Upload

On the Work Item page:

  1. Click Add.

  2. Select New Client Documents.

  3. Click the Upload button.

Attention: Do NOT use this method if your documents contain barcodes. They will not be processed via this method. use New> Upload File instead.

C. Actions > Attach

You can click Actions, then select Attach while on the Work Item page.

D. The Work Item Client Documents button

You can click the Work Item Client Document’s button to quickly upload documents and perform manual indexing.

The pop-up window shows the files present in your drive. Select the files you wish to upload.

The selected files are populated in the Name field of the Direct File Uploader window.

A. Click the Start Upload button to upload the files.

B. To cancel the uploading at any time during the process, click the Cancel Upload button.

C. You can remove all the files you added to the uploader by clicking Remove All.

D.You can remove a single file from the processing queue by clicking the Trash Can icon next to the corresponding file name.

Functionality:

The Direct File Uploader adds documents into the Docupace Digital Organizer. These can be added to a specific subfolder, or uploaded in bulk as unindexed documents.

Document indexing allows you to connect documents to specific folders and/or subfolders in the system for easy retrieval.
