Overview

This guide explains how to add your DocuSign credentials to Docupace. To configure the integration, you must generate an app password in DocuSign. Then, you need to add it to Docupace. Once you complete this task, signees will see your name will appear in the subject line when DocuSign sends notification emails.of notification emails sent by DocuSign to signees.

Until recently, applications such as Docupace could connect to your DocuSign account using your DocuSign username and password or the DocuSign username belonging to an elevated admin account. This was called the “Send on Behalf of” (SOBO) configuration. DocuSign is retiring and replacing both these methods with an App Password.

What is an “App Password?”

An App Password is a key for allowing you to access your DocuSign account, which is used exclusively for integrations with other systems. It is separate from the login information you enter into the DocuSign web portal.

Note: Users cannot log into the DocuSign web portal using an App Password. This key can only be used by integrated systems.

How to Generate Your App Password

First, you must log into DocuSign and generate an App Password to continue using your DocuSign-Docupace integration.
