Exporting to Docupace

To export an account to Docupace, go to Accounts > All Accounts.

Select a client/prospect name you want to export.

In the Account Details window, click the Export icon.

In the Export Account window, select DOCUPACE (CLIENT FOLDER).

  • If the client is not already in Docupace you can create a new record. Click Export (Figure 1). The account is exported to Docupace (Figure 2).

  • If the client exists in Docupace, you can search by last name and export into the already existing record. Enter the last name to search, and select the record found in Docupace. Click Export (Figure 3). The existing account is updated with the data exported from PreciseFP (Figure 4).

Note: Remember that the client must have an email address on file and must not be linked to an already existing PreciseFP account. If you are unable to find your client record even after confirming that it has an email address, it is likely that the record was associated with a PreciseFP account in the past. Please contact your Docupace administrator and/or Docupace support to troubleshoot the issue.

Importing into Docupace

To import an account from Docupace, go to Accounts > All Accounts.

Click the Add (+) icon.

Open the Import tab, and select the Docupace tile.

Search for the account by entering client’s last name. Select the required account, and click Import.

Note: Remember that the client must have an email address on file and must not be linked to an already existing PreciseFP account. If you are unable to find your client record even after confirming that it has an email address, it is likely that the record was associated with a PreciseFP account in the past. Please contact your Docupace administrator and/or Docupace support to troubleshoot the issue.

The account is imported from Docupace.

Additional Notes

  • All clients and prospects will be imported from / exported to Docupace as prospects.

  • First name, Last name and TIN/SSN fields are not updated by the integration. Once these fields have a value in Docupace, they cannot be modified by the export functionality. You will need to update these fields manually when required.

  • Docupace converts and stores some values as uppercase (ie. name, address, etc.). When importingfrom Docupace, values will be imported into PreciseFP as uppercase.

  • If the client’s account contains co-clients, the export procedure is the same. However, as a result Docupace creates a separate Work Item for client and for each co-client.
