Exporting Data for Form Filling

To export SmartOffice contact data into Docupace for form filling:

Go to SmartOffice:

a. In a search box, enter name of a Contact / Business.

b. From the list, select the preferred Client Record, and then open the record.

In Client Record, go to Menu (1)> Integrations (2)> Docupace Starting Point (3).

In the Docupace Setup window appears, perform the following actions:

  1. Enter Docupace user ID and Docupace (URL) into the Docupace URL field.

  2. (Optional) Select the Skip this screen and use the above Docupace URL by default checkbox to bypass this window in the future.

  3. Click Continue to launch Docupace Starting Point. The Client for the transaction is the specified SmartOffice Contact. Once you are logged in, you can continue the workflow from the Docupace system.

Note: SmartOffice remains open while you work in Docupace.

On the Rep Code screen, select the preferred rep code.

Fill out the Docupace Starting Point wizard: select the Request group (1) and Vendor (2).

Tip: Based on your selections, the system will compile forms that you need to complete the transaction.

Review the Contact summary and confirm that the information is correct. Then, click Create Work Item.

Tip: SmartOffice automatically exports the Contact data into the wizard.

You can add buttons including Docupace Client Folder or Docupace Starting Point from Menu > Integrations to the navigation toolbar:

  • Double-click the preferred button and then drag and drop it onto the navigation toolbar. The quick-access button is now placed on the toolbar.
