To access the integration:

Log in to SmartOffice and search for the appropriate Contact / Business.

Select a Contact / Business from the Search Results list and then open the preferred record.

  1. In the upper-right corner, click Menu (1).

  2. Select Integrations(2).

  3. Click Docupace Client Folder (3).
    The Docupace Setup window opens.

Tip

Tip: You can launch Docupace Client Folder from the toolbar at the top of the Contact Record.

Launching Docupace Client Folder

In the Docupace Setup window perform the following actions:

  1. Enter Docupace user ID and Docupace Uniform Resource Locator (URL), which is used to access your documents in the Docupace URL field.

  2. (Optional) Select the Skip this screen and use the above Docupace URL by default option to skip this window in the future.

  3. (Optional) To prevent SmartOffice from creating subfolders in the Docupace Client Folder (runs by default), select Do not create subfolders for Investment Accounts and Policies.

  4. Click Login to open the Docupace Client Folder that corresponds with the specified SmartOffice Contact. Once you are logged in, you can continue the workflow from the Docupace system.

Note: SmartOffice remains open while you work in Docupace.

Providing information in Docupace Setup

(Optional) Select the appropriate rep code in Docupace Rep List.

Tip

Tip: Docupace Rep List appears when there is no matching Client Folder in Docupace.

Note:The Docupace SSO integration can also be accessed from the SmartOffice Utilities side menu. However, accessing the integration from the side menu only opens the Docupace Desktop. It will not open a client folder, even if the Contact Record is open in SmartOffice.

You can add buttons including Docupace Client Folder or Docupace Starting Point from Menu > Integrations to the navigation toolbar:

  • Double-click the preferred button and then drag and drop it onto the navigation toolbar. The quick-access button is now placed on the toolbar.
