Introduction: Retention rules may prevent you from removing invalid documents from the system. To manage these documents, you can create a Trash Client.

Navigate to Home > Add/Manage Client Folders.

Click the New Client Folder button.

Add one or more Rep Codes.

Tip: Some clients select a “Trash” Rep. Other clients prefer to add all reps to the trash subfolder.

Fill in required fields:

  • Set the first name to trash

  • Set the last name to trash

  • Set the ssn to 000000000

Tip: You can set the ssn to anything you like, but make sure it is clearly made up.

Optional: Set the Client Status dropdown to Inactive.

Click Save.

Click into the trash client.

Hover over the subfolder and click the Details icon.
