Introduction: This integration guide describes how to connect the Salesforce.com CRM platform to the Docupace document management system for the companies that use both systems.

Important: Prior to updating your current version of Salesforce, please request a Docupace Core upgrade to the latest closed version, to make sure all newer properties are added to the existing Salesforce profiles. Starting from the R1 2023 release, both Docupace Core and Connect contain updates that significantly improve our Salesforce integration.

Note: Formerly the Docupace integration package required the SSN (Social Security Number) field to be filled out for all Salesforce Accounts and Contacts. With the R2 2022 release of Docupace the SSN field is no longer mandatory and is not part of the standard field mapping.

Part 1: Check prerequisites

  • Docupace site with integration update

  • Access to the Salesforce security realm from Docupace

  • Admin role in Docupace Security Manager

  • Salesforce site

  • Salesforce System Administrator profile

Part 2: Install the integration package

  • Run the installation package

Part 3: Confirm Docupace settings

  • Namespace SALESFORCE

  • Application Preferences for Salesforce

Part 4: Configure Salesforce settings

  • Check user profile permissions

  • Add a Connected App for OAuth settings

  • Configure Docupace Integration settings

Part 5: Configure Docupace settings

  • Copy OAuth Providers Settings from Salesforce to Docupace

  • Configure username from Salesforce as an alias in Docupace

Part 6: Configure Salesforce Lightning UI

  • Add menu items and page layout elements to the Account objects

Part 7: Check that features are integrated

  • Access the Docupace Dashboard from Salesforce with SSO

  • Create a New Docupace Client Folder

  • Synchronize Data to an existing Docupace Client Folder

  • Create a Work Item with Starting Point

  • See a list of current Work Items and Docupace Documents
