During the eSign Recipient step within the eSign workflow, the option of SMS No Password should no be visible in the Signer Auth Mode section.

Submit eSign package as normal. During the signing process, users with “SMS No Password” will no longer be required to enter their password when completing the signing process.

Note

SIGNiX must enable the authentication mode before you can use it in your Docupace site.

The new SMS authentication mode allows a signer to complete an eSigning ceremony without re-entering their password. Instead, they can request an SMS verification code.

Setting up the Authentication Mode

To add this authentication mode, add a new record to the Signer Auth Modes domain (270).

The new authentication mode needs to be enabled by SIGNiX. User should contact SIGNiX to have the new mode enabled for a site.

Default Signer Mode

Navigate to the Signer Auth Modes domain (270):

Click Administration, type 270 into the search bar, and select Signer Auth Modes from the list of options.

  1. Set Name to SMS No Password

  2. Set Signix Service Name to SMSNoPassword

  3. Click Save and Close.

You can also set SMS No Password as the default for a particular signer type.

Navigate to the Signer Types domain (266).

Click Administration, type 266 into the search bar, and select Signer Types from the list of options.

Double click on the signer type record you want to update.

  2. Click Save and Close.

Using the Authentication Mode

When setting up an e-sign recipient, select SMS No Password from the Signer Auth Mode dropdown. For more detailed instructions on setting up e-sign recipients, visit this guide.

When a signer has SMS No Password enabled SIGNiX proceeds to the attachments screen. Click Finish.
