Introduction: This guide provides Investment Advisors with instructions on how to extract and transfer files from a Remote Site (file backup) to save them into a Local Site using the FileZilla application for Windows

Functionality: Windows File Extract / Backup allows users to transfer files from the file backup and store them locally on the hard drive. Users can acquire Windows File Extract / Backup by using the FileZilla application.

Installing Windows File Extract / Backup

Once the file download is complete, check the download process:

  1. Ensure that all files are downloaded and saved into your local computer/drive.

  2. Open the files to review/validate the downloaded files.

  3. Spot-check at least five-seven folders, subfolders, and documents.

Note: Please note that the downloaded data remains on File Transfer Protocol SSL (FTPS) for 30 days. If you need more time for data to remain on FTPS, reach out to Docupace Support.
