To configure a Retention Rule to automatically place documents into batches for shredding once the documents exit retention, proceed as follows:

Configuring Additional Site Settings for Automatic Shredding

There are three Application Preferences that control automatic shredding for your Docupace site.

Administrators with access to the Application Preferences (242) domain can change these settings:

Automatically generate shredding batch - controls whether batches must always be created manually (external ID docupace.retention.populateShreddingBatch.createNewBatchAllowed, default value No must be changed to Yes)
Shredding batch name format - date format for the name of the batch (external ID docupace.retention.shreddingBatchNameGenerator.batchNameFormat, default value yyyy-MMM)
Max shredding batch size - the number of documents allowed in each shredding batch (external ID docupace.retention.populateShreddingBatch.maxBatchSize, default value 10000)
