This guide explains how to add your DocuSign credentials to Docupace. To configure the integration, you will need to generate an app key. Once you complete this task, your name will appear in the subject line of notification emails sent by DocuSign to signees.

What is an “App Password?”

An App Password is a key for accessing your DocuSign account that is used exclusively for integrations with other systems. It is different from the DocuSign portal password that you use to log into the DocuSign website. Currently, applications such as Docupace can connect to your DocuSign account using either your DocuSign username (email) and your DocuSign portal password or just your DocuSign username with an elevated admin account. This is referred to as the “Send on Behalf of” (SOBO) configuration. DocuSign is retiring and replacing both these methods with the App Password.

Note: A person cannot log into the DocuSign web portal using an App Password. This key can only be used by integrated systems.

How to Configure Your App Password

You must log into DocuSign and generate an App Password to continue using your DocuSign-Docupace integration. You must copy this password into your user configuration on the Docupace site. Here are the steps to follow:
