After installing the Docupace Integration package on the Salesforce site and configuring all necessary settings, you need to add Docupace menu items (buttons) and apps (related lists) to the layouts of Salesforce objects. This example shows how to add Docupace menu items (Docupace Dashboard, Docupace Client Folder, and Docupace Starting Point) and apps (Docupace Documents and Docupace Work Items) to the layout of the Contact page and Account page in the Salesforce Lightning UI and customize them. To do that, the steps are:
Step 1: Add Mobile & Lightning Actions to
ContactAccount Page Layout

In Salesforce Lightning, open the Setup section.
Proceed to Object Manager (in the top toolbar). A list of all objects is displayed. Scroll down or use Quick Find to find the Contact Account object.
Click on the Contact Account object name to open.
Open Page Layouts section. A list of layouts for that object is shown.
Click on the layout you need to modify. A page with all layout elements is shown.
In the list of elements, open Mobile & Lightning Actions.
In the page layout, scroll down to the Salesforce Mobile & Lightning Experience Actions section.
Drag and drop Docupace menu items (Docupace Dashboard, Docupace Client Folder, and Docupace Starting Point) from the list of elements to this section. Place them after the Printable View action or at the very end of the section. |
Step 2: Add Apps to Related Lists Section of
ContactAccount Page Layout

In the list of elements, click Related Lists.
Drag and drop Docupace apps (Docupace Work Items and Docupace Documents) from the list of elements to the page layout.
When all two items have been moved to the page layout, click Quick Save in the Contact Account Layout toolbar. Note: If a confirmation pop-up appears, click Yes. |
Step 3: Customize the Docupace Work Items App

Click on the Properties icon for the Docupace Work Items app.
Move the following fields to the Selected Fields side by clicking Add. Then expand the Buttons section of the dialog.

In the list of elements, click Visualforce Pages.
Drag and drop DocupaceFetchContactDocuments DocupaceFetchAccountDocuments app from the list of elements to the Contact page layout. Note: Drag and dropthe DocupaceFetchAccountDocuments app onto theAccount page layout.
Click on the properties for this element. Change Height to 0 pixels. Click OK in the pop-up window.
Then click Save in the Contact Account Layout toolbar to keep the changes and exit the page layout. If a confirmation pop-up appears, click Yes.
To check the result, open any contact in Salesforce and refresh the page (F5). Docupace items appear under the drop-down menu. Lists of Docupace documents and work items appear on the contact page. |
Step 6: Add Elements to Account Page Layout
Return to the Object Manager and repeat the above steps for the Account object, thus adding Docupace items to the Account page layout.

To check the result, open any Account in account in Salesforce and refresh the page (F5). Docupace items appear under the drop-down menu. Lists of Docupace documents and work items appear in the Related tab.
