Configuring a Retention Rule for Automatic Shredding

To configure a Retention Rule to automatically place documents into batches for shredding once the documents exit retention, proceed as follows:

Three Application Preferences control automatic shredding for your Docupace site:

  • Automatically generate shredding batch - controls whether batches must always be created manually

  • Shredding batch name format - date format for the name of the batch

  • Max shredding batch size - the number of documents allowed in each shredding batch
