The Product Restrictions link under the Products tab can be used to manage Distributor Deltas. The Distributor Deltas provide distributors with the ability to restrict product availability and product feature availability by business unit. Users who have been assigned the Restrictions action will be able to sign onto the platform to set product restrictions.

  • Selection of the Report button will bring up a pop-up window that will allow the user to enter criteria in order to run product restriction reports.

  • Selection of the History button will bring up a pop-up window that will allow the user to enter criteria to view change history for product restrictions.

  • The download/upload buttons allow users to download the product restriction configuration into a file and upload those configuration into other AnnuityNet environments.

  • The Restriction Scope can be used for those partners who support both New Application/Subpay transactions and AnnuityMaintenance transactions to toggle between APP/SUB restrictions and AMP restriction views.

The tool supports text colors in order to identify restrictions that have been enforced due to the carrier PPfA, Cross Product, Carrier Specific and Parent firm for correspondents

Color Grid:

PPfA

Cross Product

Product Availability Restrictions

The Product Availability Restrictions tab allows distributors to

  • Restrict Transaction Types by Carrier and Product.

  • Restrict Jurisdictions by Carrier and Product

  • Restrict Transaction Types by Carrier, Product, and State

To restrict a Transaction Type or Jurisdiction by Carrier and Product, first, select the Carrier and Product from the dropdowns on top of the screen. Then check the checkboxes for the Transaction Types or Jurisdiction you want to restrict. Once the checkbox for a Transaction Type is checked, all the Jurisdiction checkboxes disappear so you will not have to restrict each Jurisdiction individually. In the example below, the product is restricted for all New Applications and for the state of Alabama for Subsequent Premium transactions.

Product Availability Restrictions – Restricting Transaction Type or Jurisdiction by Carrier and Product

To restrict a Transaction Type by Carrier, Product, and State, select the Carrier and State from the dropdowns on top of the screen. The system will return a list of available products and transaction types. You can then:

  • Click on a transaction type to restrict that transaction type for all products listed, or

  • Click on a product listed under a transaction type to restrict that product for that transaction type.
